Frankie's Werdz

A Page from My Journal:

So I was reading past entries in my journal, and I stumbled on a page where I expressed how excited I was for Barack Obama becoming our nation’s President. So I thought I share this entry with you all, because it ties into a very deep and encouraging message! Hope you enjoy!

**Inauguration Week**
Glory to God, Halleluah! Barack Obama is my new president! I’m so happy because not only is he black but he represents the majority which has always been perceived as the minority. Prior to this exciting week I was surrounded by inspiration. I went to go see the Notorious movie about Christopher “Biggie Smalls” Wallace’s life and I also seen Mint Condition live in concert. Now most people wouldn’t see this as inspirational but I did. The movie about Biggie’s life was touching to me because it is a movie that inspires you to live your dreams. Which led me to the Mint Condition concert. I’ve always had a passion for being a musician and watching these talented men on stage doing what I want to do just took me back full circle. If I dream it, then I can live it! If Obama can become the President of the United States then I know that me becoming anything that I want to be is not just a dream its now a reality!

I shared this entry with you all to say this, as a nation we have people counting on us whether at home, at work, church, wherever. Just as much as we depend on our president for fixing this country, there is someone out there depending on you. So don’t be afraid to become a leader. You just might end up being the first bi-racial President of the United States or even the first Hispanic Woman to become Supreme Court Justice! Much love and peace!
